What’s in the Tesamorelin and Ipamorelin blend 10mg?
Tesa: Tesamorelin is the full 44-amino-acid GHRH with a trans-3-hexenoyl group added. It’s FDA-approved as Egrifta for reducing abdominal fat in HIV-associated lipodystrophy.
Ipamorelin: Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide growth hormone secretagogue developed by Novo Nordisk. It acts on the ghrelin receptor and releases GH selectively, with little effect on cortisol or prolactin.

Tesamorelin binds the GHRH receptor and raises growth hormone and IGF-1. The hexenoyl group on the front end stops DPP-4 from cutting it, which makes it far more stable than natural GHRH.
Ipamorelin mimics ghrelin at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR-1a) in the pituitary and hypothalamus. Activating that receptor triggers a GH pulse.

Tesa and Ipamorelin research
Falutz and colleagues published the phase 3 trials in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2007.
Later studies looked at liver fat.
Raun and colleagues reported in 1998 that ipamorelin released GH in pigs and rats without raising ACTH or cortisol.
A phase 2 trial in bowel surgery patients didn’t meet its main endpoint.

How to reconstitute Tesamorelin and Ipamorelin blend 10mg
Concentration is just the amount in the vial divided by the water you add. With 20mg in this vial:
- 1ml of bacteriostatic water gives 20mg/ml
- 2ml of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/ml
- 3ml of bacteriostatic water gives 6.67mg/ml
Go with whichever number is easiest to work with in your protocol, and label the vial with the concentration and the date you mixed it.
Bacteriostatic water is the standard choice. Add it slowly so it runs down the side of the vial, then swirl or roll until everything dissolves. Shaking can damage the peptide, so skip it.
Storage and shelf life
Store sealed vials in the fridge (2 to 8°C) or freezer (-20°C), away from light. Mixed solution goes back in the fridge and should be used within about 28 days.
