Description
Our Argireline 5mg vial holds 5mg of lyophilized Argireline, a cosmetic hexapeptide. It’s for in-vitro and lab research only.
About Argireline
Argireline (acetyl hexapeptide-8, or -3) is a synthetic peptide based on the N-terminal end of SNAP-25. It interferes with the SNARE complex that releases acetylcholine.
It’s used in topical anti-wrinkle products.
How Argireline acts in the lab
Muscles contract when nerve endings release acetylcholine, and that release depends on a protein complex called SNARE. SNAP-25 is one of its parts.
Argireline copies the end of SNAP-25 and competes with it, so fewer SNARE complexes form and less acetylcholine is released. That’s the basis for its use in expression-line studies.

Argireline research
Blanes-Mira and colleagues reported in 2002 that topical argireline reduced wrinkle depth in a small study.
Its skin penetration is debated.

How to reconstitute Argireline 5mg
Here’s the math for 5mg of peptide:
- 1ml of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg/ml
- 2ml of bacteriostatic water gives 2.5mg/ml
- 3ml of bacteriostatic water gives 1.67mg/ml
Pick the volume that keeps your own calculations simple, then write the concentration and the mixing date on the label.
Use sterile bacteriostatic water. Warm the sealed vial to room temperature first so no condensation gets in, add the water slowly along the glass wall, and swirl gently until it’s clear. Never shake.
Storing Argireline 5mg
Store sealed vials in the fridge (2 to 8°C) or freezer (-20°C), away from light. Mixed solution goes back in the fridge and should be used within about 28 days.
