Description
Melanotan 1 10mg is a 10mg vial of Melanotan 1, an alpha-MSH analog, supplied by Evolve Peptides as freeze-dried powder. It’s intended for lab research only.
What is Melanotan 1?
Melanotan I (afamelanotide) is a synthetic analog of alpha-MSH with two amino acid changes that make it more stable. It stimulates melanin production.
An implant form, Scenesse, is approved for erythropoietic protoporphyria.
Melanotan 1 mechanism of action
Melanotan 1 acts on MC1R, the melanocortin receptor on pigment cells. Activating MC1R switches melanocytes from making pale pheomelanin to darker eumelanin.
Two swaps in the alpha-MSH sequence (norleucine at position 4 and D-phenylalanine at position 7) make it far more potent and longer lasting than the natural hormone. It’s more selective for MC1R than Melanotan 2.

Melanotan 1 10mg lab reports and purity
This listing doesn’t have a lab report in its photos yet. Every vial is labeled with the compound, the amount and the batch, and the batch number is what the lab paperwork is filed under.
Melanotan 1 10mg reconstitution and concentration
Here’s the math for 10mg of peptide:
- 1ml of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/ml
- 2ml of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg/ml
- 3ml of bacteriostatic water gives 3.33mg/ml
Choose the volume that suits your measurements. Mark the vial with the concentration and date so nobody has to guess later.
Most labs use bacteriostatic water. Let the vial reach room temperature, run the water slowly down the inside of the glass, then roll it gently until the powder dissolves. Don’t shake it. Shaking can shear peptide chains.
Storing Melanotan 1 10mg
Unopened, keep Melanotan 1 10mg in a fridge at 2 to 8°C, or in a freezer at -20°C if it’ll be a while before you use it. Keep it out of direct light. Once mixed, keep it refrigerated and use it within about 28 days, which is how long bacteriostatic water stays good after opening.
