Description

GHK-Cu 100mg from Evolve Peptides is 100mg of GHK-Cu in a sealed glass vial. GHK-Cu is a copper-binding tripeptide. It’s sold for laboratory research only.

GHK-Cu at a glance

GHK-Cu is the tripeptide glycyl-histidyl-lysine bound to a copper ion. GHK occurs naturally in human plasma, saliva and urine, and its levels fall with age.

It’s used widely in skin and wound research, and in cosmetic formulas.

How GHK-Cu acts in the lab

GHK binds copper tightly and can deliver it to cells. Copper is a cofactor for lysyl oxidase, the enzyme that cross-links collagen and elastin, and for antioxidant enzymes.

In cell and animal studies GHK-Cu increased collagen and glycosaminoglycan production, attracted repair cells to wounds, and changed the activity of many genes involved in tissue remodeling.

What the research says about GHK-Cu

Loren Pickart, who first isolated GHK in 1973, has published reviews of its effects on collagen synthesis, wound contraction and gene expression in cell and animal studies.

Maquart and colleagues reported that GHK-Cu increased collagen in rat wound chambers.

The primary literature is on PubMed. Here’s a search for GHK-Cu studies to start from.

How to reconstitute GHK-Cu 100mg

Concentration is just the amount in the vial divided by the water you add. With 100mg in this vial:

  • 3ml of bacteriostatic water gives 33.33mg/ml
  • 5ml of bacteriostatic water gives 20mg/ml

Go with whichever number is easiest to work with in your protocol, and label the vial with the concentration and the date you mixed it.

Bacteriostatic water is the standard choice. Add it slowly so it runs down the side of the vial, then swirl or roll until everything dissolves. Shaking can damage the peptide, so skip it.

How to store GHK-Cu 100mg

Store sealed vials in the fridge (2 to 8°C) or freezer (-20°C), away from light. Mixed solution goes back in the fridge and should be used within about 28 days.

GHK-Cu 100mg questions

How much is in the GHK-Cu 100mg vial?

100mg of lyophilized powder. The amount is printed on the label.

Is GHK-Cu 100mg lab tested?

Yes. We test GHK-Cu by production run, and the batch number on the label is what the paperwork is filed under.

Which size should I buy?

Pick by how much you’ll use. Bigger vials cost less per milligram, smaller ones mean less sits open in the fridge. The size comparison above lists every GHK-Cu option.

What do I mix GHK-Cu 100mg with?

Sterile bacteriostatic water. The reconstitution section above shows the concentration for each volume.

How should I store it?

Sealed vials go in the fridge, or the freezer for long-term storage. Once mixed, refrigerate and use within about 28 days.
