Description

GLP-3 RT 12mg is a 12mg vial of GLP-3 RT (retatrutide), a GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon receptor agonist, supplied by Evolve Peptides as freeze-dried powder. It’s for in-vitro and lab research only.

What is GLP-3 RT (retatrutide)?

Retatrutide (LY3437943, often sold as GLP-3R) is a single peptide from Eli Lilly that acts on three receptors: GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon.

It’s still in clinical trials.

How GLP-3 RT works

Retatrutide hits three receptors with one peptide: GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon. The first two are incretins that boost glucose-dependent insulin release and, in GLP-1’s case, curb appetite and slow stomach emptying.

The glucagon part is the unusual bit. Glucagon raises energy expenditure and pushes the liver to burn fat, so pairing it with the incretins is meant to work on both sides of energy balance. That’s the main reason researchers compare it with the dual and single agonists.

What the research says about GLP-3 RT

Jastreboff and colleagues reported in the New England Journal of Medicine (2023) a mean weight loss of up to 24% at 48 weeks in a phase 2 trial.

Phase 3 trials are under way.

GLP-3 RT 12mg reconstitution and concentration

Concentration is just the amount in the vial divided by the water you add. With 12mg in this vial:

  • 1ml of bacteriostatic water gives 12mg/ml
  • 2ml of bacteriostatic water gives 6mg/ml
  • 3ml of bacteriostatic water gives 4mg/ml

Go with whichever number is easiest to work with in your protocol, and label the vial with the concentration and the date you mixed it.

Bacteriostatic water is the standard choice. Add it slowly so it runs down the side of the vial, then swirl or roll until everything dissolves. Shaking can damage the peptide, so skip it.

Storing GLP-3 RT 12mg

Unopened, keep GLP-3 RT 12mg in a fridge at 2 to 8°C, or in a freezer at -20°C if it’ll be a while before you use it. Keep it out of direct light. Once mixed, keep it refrigerated and use it within about 28 days, which is how long bacteriostatic water stays good after opening.

Lab testing for GLP-3 RT 12mg

The product photos for GLP-3 RT 12mg include:

  • A certificate of analysis with identity, measured quantity and HPLC purity. The Chromate reports also cover sterility and heavy metals.
  • An independent Janoshik Analytical test report. You can verify it on janoshik.com with the key printed at the bottom.
