Bacteriostatic Water
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, the standard solvent for reconstituting freeze-dried peptides. We stock it in 3ml, 10ml and 30ml vials, plus a 30ml Hospira vial.

What is bacteriostatic water?
The benzyl alcohol stops bacteria from growing, so you can draw from the same vial more than once. After you first puncture the stopper, it’s good for up to 28 days. Plain sterile water has no preservative and is meant for a single draw.
Most peptide vials take 1ml to 3ml of water each. Large vials like NAD+ and glutathione take 5ml to 10ml.

Sizes we stock
- 3ml vial for $10.90, 10ml vial for $15.90, 30ml vial for $19.90, Hospira 30ml vial for $34.90
How to choose bacteriostatic water
Get the 3ml if you’re mixing one peptide, the 10ml for regular use, and a 30ml if you reconstitute often or work with several peptides at once. Just remember the 28-day limit once it’s open.
IGF-1 LR3 is the one peptide in our range that many labs reconstitute in dilute acetic acid instead.
Bacteriostatic water: formats and prices
There are 4 products in this range: four vials. Prices run from $10.90 to $34.90. Every product page lists the amount, the format and the SKU, so you can compare like for like before you order.
How bacteriostatic water is used
Draw the water you need, let it run slowly down the inside of the peptide vial, then swirl gently until the powder dissolves. Each peptide page on our site has a reconstitution section with the concentration for each volume.
BAC water, sterile water or acetic acid?
BAC water is the default for almost every peptide because the preservative lets you reuse the vial for four weeks. Sterile water has no preservative, so once it’s opened it’s a single-use product. Dilute acetic acid is the exception, used for a few peptides that won’t dissolve at a neutral pH, IGF-1 LR3 being the usual one.
Whatever you use, wipe both stoppers with an alcohol swab first and write the opening date on the label. Throw out any water that looks cloudy or has particles in it.
Bacteriostatic water FAQ
Is your bacteriostatic water in stock?
Yes. Everything listed here is in stock now.
Is bacteriostatic water for human use?
No. Everything we sell is for laboratory research only and isn’t approved for human or veterinary use.
How do I pick a size?
The 30ml vials cost the least per ml, but an opened vial only lasts 28 days. If you mix one peptide at a time, the 3ml or 10ml is the better fit.
Can I use sterile water instead?
Sterile water works for a single draw, but it has no preservative. Bacteriostatic water can be used over 28 days.
