Description
This bottle of Epithalon capsules holds 60 capsules with 3mg of Epithalon in each one. Epithalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide. Capsules need no reconstitution. They’re sold for laboratory research only.
Epithalon at a glance
Epitalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) is a synthetic tetrapeptide based on epithalamin, a pineal gland extract. Vladimir Khavinson’s group developed it.
It’s studied in aging research.
How Epithalon acts in the lab
Epitalon is modeled on epithalamin, a peptide extract of the pineal gland. The pineal gland produces melatonin, and the original work looked at how it changed with age.
In cell culture, Khavinson’s group reported that epitalon switched on telomerase, the enzyme that rebuilds the protective caps on chromosome ends. Its other reported effects include normalizing melatonin rhythms in older animals.

Epithalon research
Khavinson and colleagues reported that epitalon activated telomerase and lengthened telomeres in human fibroblast cultures (2003).
Rodent studies from the same group reported longer lifespans and fewer tumors.

About the Epithalon capsule format
Each bottle has 60 capsules at 3mg, which is 180mg of Epithalon in total. Capsules make sense for oral-route studies and for anyone who’d rather skip reconstitution, cold storage and syringes.
Keep the bottle closed, somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight. No fridge needed.
Epithalon capsules or Epithalon vials?
We sell Epithalon as a powder vial too, for example Epithalon 50mg. These capsules actually work out cheaper per milligram, about $0.83 against $2.60 for the vial, and they skip the bacteriostatic water, syringes and fridge.
The other difference is the route. A vial is for injectable-route work, while capsules are for oral-route studies, and the published data for the two routes aren’t interchangeable.
Epithalon purity and lab testing
This listing doesn’t have a lab report in its photos yet. Every bottle is labeled with the compound, the amount and the batch, and the batch number is what the lab paperwork is filed under.
