Prostamax belongs to Khavinson’s family of tetrapeptide bioregulators, each linked to a specific tissue. The idea is that these short peptides bind DNA in that tissue’s cells and restore gene expression patterns that drift with age.
Most of the work is cell culture studies of prostate tissue cells, plus some rodent work.

Prostamax research
Published work on it comes almost entirely from Khavinson’s group and other Russian labs, mostly cell culture studies of gene expression in prostate tissue cells, plus some rodent work.
Independent replication outside Russia is limited, so it’s best treated as an early-stage research peptide.

How to reconstitute Prostamax 20mg
The volume of water you add sets the concentration. For a vial holding 20mg:
- 1ml of bacteriostatic water gives 20mg/ml
- 2ml of bacteriostatic water gives 10mg/ml
- 3ml of bacteriostatic water gives 6.67mg/ml
Go with whichever number is easiest to work with in your protocol, and label the vial with the concentration and the date you mixed it.
Most labs use bacteriostatic water. Let the vial reach room temperature, run the water slowly down the inside of the glass, then roll it gently until the powder dissolves. Don’t shake it. Shaking can shear peptide chains.
Storage and shelf life
Unopened, keep Prostamax 20mg in a fridge at 2 to 8°C, or in a freezer at -20°C if it’ll be a while before you use it. Keep it out of direct light. Once mixed, keep it refrigerated and use it within about 28 days, which is how long bacteriostatic water stays good after opening.
