Description
Our IGF-1 LR3 1mg vial holds 1mg of lyophilized IGF-1 LR3, an IGF-1 analog. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
What is IGF-1 LR3?
IGF-1 LR3 is an 83-amino-acid analog of IGF-1 with an arginine swap at position 3 and a 13-amino-acid extension. Those changes stop it binding IGF binding proteins, so it stays active much longer.
It’s widely used in cell culture media.
How IGF-1 LR3 works
IGF-1 is the hormone that carries out much of growth hormone’s effect on cells. Most of it in the body is bound by IGF binding proteins, which hold it inactive.
LR3 has an arginine in place of glutamate at position 3 plus a 13-residue extension. Binding proteins barely recognize it, so it stays free and active far longer. That’s why it’s the standard IGF-1 in cell culture media.

IGF-1 LR3 research
It was developed for cell culture in the 1990s.
In cell culture it’s several times more potent than IGF-1.

IGF-1 LR3 purity and lab testing
Scroll through the IGF-1 LR3 1mg photos and you’ll find:
- A certificate of analysis with identity, measured quantity and HPLC purity.
- An endotoxin report from a kinetic LAL assay.

How to reconstitute IGF-1 LR3 1mg
Concentration is just the amount in the vial divided by the water you add. With 1mg in this vial:
- 1ml of solvent gives 1mg/ml
- 2ml of solvent gives 0.5mg/ml
Choose the volume that suits your measurements. Mark the vial with the concentration and date so nobody has to guess later.
IGF-1 LR3 can be slow to dissolve in plain bacteriostatic water at neutral pH, so many labs use a dilute acetic acid solution (around 0.6%) instead. Whichever you use, add it slowly down the side of the vial and swirl gently until it’s clear. Don’t shake.
How to store IGF-1 LR3 1mg
The dry powder keeps best cold: 2 to 8°C in the fridge, or -20°C for long-term storage. After reconstitution, store it in the fridge and finish it within roughly four weeks.

IGF-1 LR3 1mg questions
How much is in the IGF-1 LR3 1mg vial?
1mg of lyophilized powder. The amount is printed on the label.
Is it in stock?
Yes, IGF-1 LR3 1mg is in stock now.
Is IGF-1 LR3 1mg lab tested?
Yes. The lab reports are in the product photos, so you can check purity before you order.
What do I mix IGF-1 LR3 1mg with?
Many labs use a dilute acetic acid solution, because IGF-1 LR3 can be slow to dissolve in plain bacteriostatic water. The reconstitution section above has the details.
How should I store it?
Sealed vials go in the fridge, or the freezer for long-term storage. Once mixed, refrigerate and use within about 28 days.
