Description
ARA-290 12mg is a 12mg vial of ARA-290, an erythropoietin-derived peptide, supplied by Evolve Peptides as freeze-dried powder. It’s for in-vitro and lab research only.
What is ARA-290?
ARA-290 (cibinetide) is an 11-amino-acid peptide based on a region of erythropoietin. It activates the tissue-protective receptor without stimulating red blood cell production.
Araim Pharmaceuticals developed it for small fiber neuropathy.
How ARA-290 works
Erythropoietin (EPO) has two jobs. It drives red blood cell production through one receptor, and it protects tissue through another, a complex of the EPO receptor with CD131.
ARA-290 mimics the small part of EPO that binds the tissue-protective receptor and leaves the red blood cell receptor alone. That lets researchers study EPO’s anti-inflammatory and nerve-protective effects without raising hematocrit.

Published ARA-290 studies

Animal studies looked at nerve and kidney protection.

ARA-290 12mg reconstitution and concentration
Concentration is just the amount in the vial divided by the water you add. With 12mg in this vial:
- 1ml of bacteriostatic water gives 12mg/ml
- 2ml of bacteriostatic water gives 6mg/ml
- 3ml of bacteriostatic water gives 4mg/ml
Choose the volume that suits your measurements. Mark the vial with the concentration and date so nobody has to guess later.
Use sterile bacteriostatic water. Warm the sealed vial to room temperature first so no condensation gets in, add the water slowly along the glass wall, and swirl gently until it’s clear. Never shake.
How to store ARA-290 12mg
The dry powder keeps best cold: 2 to 8°C in the fridge, or -20°C for long-term storage. After reconstitution, store it in the fridge and finish it within roughly four weeks.
Lab testing for ARA-290 12mg
We’ve put the lab paperwork for ARA-290 12mg in the image gallery:
- A certificate of analysis with identity, measured quantity and HPLC purity.
- An endotoxin report from a kinetic LAL assay.
